April 2024A real challenge“Sarah was an amazing host for the day - she had a complex request from my family: to make my moms D-Day 1st infantry experience memorable for her (a history buff who’s father was in WWII and part of the first wave at Omaha beach), while also accommodating my 4 kids under 8. WOW did Sarah deliver. She was patient, kind, and without us asking had a natural way of making sure the kids were in a good headspace for each part of the tour. At one point even suggested my kids take a walk on the beach with me while she spoke to my mom for 30 mins about some specifics of the landing beaches. We ended the day with a cider tasting and a drop off at the local supermarket - perfect planning! She made my mom’s “bucket list” trip of her dreams come true - highly recommend Sarah (who is a true historian and also trained in spirits) was a gem!” “Sarah you really made my mom’s dream come true - and boy did you have your job cut out for you with all of my kids! Decembre 2023HIGHLY RECOMMEND……..My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with this trip to Normandy. Our driver Remy picked us up at our hotel in Paris 15 minutes before our scheduled trip, he was an absolute pleasure to talk to for the 2 plus hour ride there and back. Sarah our guide was extremely knowledgeable throughout the tour. Her explanation on all the details of what we’re seeing was truly amazing which included some fascinating personal insight from her 101 year old grandmother. HIGHLY RECOMMEND…….. - Les toulousains

September 2023My wife and nonagenarian father-in-law had the absolute pleasure of traveling to Mont-Saint-Michel with Sarah from ACSM - Tours, who was absolutely incredible. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable, she knew exactly where to go and when to avoid the crowds, was extremely patient with us as we were a little slow and went the extra mile to help us organize our visit to the war cemetery the next day. We saw all the nooks and crannies of Mont Saint-Michel, as well as the more common and popular areas, and sometimes felt like we were the only ones there. The day was simply magical thanks to Sarah and her delightful personality. I would recommend anyone travelling to Normandy to contact ASCM and ask for Sarah. - Julie from Arizona
March 2023Sara did an amazing job, she took our group of nine (3 adults and 6 kids) to the American cemetery, d day beaches, churches, and cafes. She took the time to explain the information to the kids and the adults. We learned so much on this tour. She is a fantastic tour guide, we truly enjoyed all of her knowledge. - JenniferDon't look anywhere else--this tour is worth every penny!Sarah was every history lover's dream! I cannot speak highly enough of her. Her thorough and detailed knowledge of both the D-Day Landings and the events of WWII as a whole are beyond compare. She went out of her way to fit a 2-3 day tour into the 9 hours we had. Even above her knowledge and professionalism, Sarah took such good care of us, texting with us in advance of our tour and helping us to arrange for dinner and taxi back to the station before our return train trip to Paris.
By the time we got to Bayeax, I was quite frazzled because not only had our group tour (thru another Viator affiliate tour company) been cancelled twice, but Viator had also cancelled our private tour (for reasons no one could ever figure out). But Sarah assured me that she was expecting us and we would sort it all out later. (Viator finally confirmed that this private tour company had not inititated the cancel and then "un-cancelled" us.) July 2022Sarah Valentin is the best!We were so fortunate to have Sara as our guide. We had booked her for two days, the first day she showed us all of the important sites of Normandy and was very accommodative to our interests and time parameters. I told her about how my father had shipped over to France after D-Day to fight in the battle of the bulge. His company had been involved in a ship disaster on Christmas Eve 1944. After the first day Sarah researched information that night on the events of 12/24/44 and suggested changing our second day of sightseeing. We went to Cherbourg and visited a museum and a library that had archives on the events of the SS Leopoldville and HMS Cheshire. She gave us a great overview of the harbor and had specific information on how the ship movements had taken place, pointing them out from an old German Garrison that was now a French museum. She talked with the museum Director who showed us information, then we went to a library that was closed. In spite of this, Sarah and the kind librarian researched and showed us information on that night. It was an extremely personal and moving experience, thank you from the bottom of my heart Sarah. - Mary
March 2021Great tour !Sarah is very friendly & fun to be with. She puts you at ease immediately, & welcomes you into the life and history of Normandy. She is very knowledgeable & kept us entertained on our 1.5 hour drive with stories about important events in history as well as current events. Once there, she expertly guided us to avoid some of the crowds, & then helped us to understand the stages of construction, the function of the rooms, the people who would have lived & visited there & the importance to history. GREAT!
